Attaching radio transmitter to lactating Indiana Bat

TRAGUS Indiana Bat Services - Government Research

Working closely with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Tragus conducted an extensive project to locate Indiana bat maternity roost trees in Columbus Ohio. The project involved radio-telemetry of three lactating Indiana bats and tracking during daylight hours. In addition, females were monitored continuously throughout the evening to map foraging range. The project was combined with a parallel effort to document additional species of bat throughout the Columbus and Franklin County Park District.
Client: United States Fish and Wildlife Service.
